Our car can really tell something about our personality. It can indicate what kind of person we are when it comes to cleanliness. When they say that our home is neat and well-organized, they somehow say that we are neat-freak, but is there any problem with that? I don't think being neat-freak can affect our own way of dealings to other matters regarding our haven or a place called sanctuary. That is the same when it comes to car, which is considered to be our second home, isn't it? Yes, our car is our refuge next to our room, maybe. It can bring an identity and can leave an impression of inefficiency, uncanny, boring, and any other negative notion if we fail to pamper our car properly. Well, we already know that it will depend on the way we treat our car. And of course, we don't want other people to say that we are unhygienic or grimy. Unless we don't care about other's opinion isn't it.
But for now let me just say some tips on how to make your car's interior a little bit organized and tidy. It won't take long, I promise. Let's start with taking care of your leather interior. All you need to do is to make use of a leather cleaner one section at a time. Apply the solution into the leather carefully. If the leather is heavily soiled, an upholstery brush or an interior detailing skirmishes will do. Once finished, remove all soap agents from each surface and use only a damp towel cloth. Rinse and wipe for a few times until the soap is wiped out before drying the leather with a fresh and dry towel. Parenthetically, water doesn't impair your leather since most leather is made tanned in water.
Next is the cleaning of the carpets. First, you have to remove the floor mats, the front carpets, and the foam pads beneath the carpets. If you own a convertible, foams pads easily get wet because of the leaks in the top, and we all knew that it can smell bad. Anyway, whether you have a coupe or convertible, you must always have a good airing to prevent that ghastly smell inside your car although there's air freshener that can make that kind of smell better. Baking soda can be of great help. With just a small sprinkled of a baking soda and vacuuming off will soak up bad odors. Floor mats are made to be like odor-eaters. They are easily get smelly that's why it takes some time to make them fresh again. If they are slowly deteriorating or rotting already, have it replaced at once.
Of course, you don't have to forget to wipe your floor boards too. Or, if you want to paint it with the color you prefer, do it. However, a good carpet and a floor mats will do. Thoroughly vacuuming the floor mats and carpets is always a good move. You will just have to make use of a household upright vacuum cleaner. Don't use a nozzle-type like those that are used in a car wash station. Set the carpet on a clean and flat surface and vacuum for several minutes.
Cleaning the panel is also a must-do in maintaining the cleanliness of your car's interior. These are the seats, dashboard, and interior panels. Clean them carefully with a vacuum cleaner to soak the dust off. You can also run that vacuum into the door interior panels, rear deck window ledge, along the top of the dashboard, and around the instrument cluster. Cleaning the steering wheel yoke, dashboard ventilation nozzles, interior side panels, and the storage bins of the doors are very important too. These can really make your interior fresh and can leave a very good ambiance.
